Kurşunlu Mosque
The symbol of Menteşe, a 1493 Beylik-era mosque. Famous for its Rhodes root-dye calligraphy work inside and rare depictions of the Kaaba with sailing ships.

Menteşe Municipality Culture House
A 19th-century mansion of the Şerefliler family. This culture center and café carries the city's cosmopolitan past through its blend of Turkish-Greek architecture.
Yağcılar Hanı
A caravanserai from the Beylik era, dating back to the 14th-15th centuries. Experience the classic Turkish coffee beneath the massive plane tree in its courtyard; browse carpets and local crafts in the surrounding shops.
Arasta Bazaar
A traditional marketplace over 600 years old. The Blacksmiths' Bazaar and Coppersmiths' Bazaar still thrive under their original names—the perfect spot for handcrafted souvenirs.
Zahire Pazarı
Ottoman grain trading center. 14 restored shops; be sure to try Turkish coffee in the sand at the café inside.
Saatli Kule (Clock Tower)
Built in 1895 by Hacıkadı Süleyman Efendi, the city's first mayor, and designed by the renowned Greek master craftsman Filivari. Muğla's symbol and an architectural expression of Turkish-Greek togetherness.
Saburhane Square and Old Muğla Houses
400+ historic houses on the slopes of Asar Mountain. Whitewashed walls, red tile roofs, and the uniquely iconic "Muğla chimneys" found nowhere else in the world — a true open-air museum.
Muğla Ulu Camii
Built in 1334 as the work of Menteşe Bey İbrahim Bey. Muğla's oldest structure, featuring ashlar stone and wooden roof architecture under Seljuk influence.
Şeyh Bedrettin Mosque (Şeyh Mosque)
An early Ottoman-period mosque commissioned by the renowned scholar Şeyh Bedrettin in 1565. May remain closed for extended periods due to restoration work by the Waqfs Authority.
Özbekler House
A traditional Muğla house over 200 years old. It won the Chamber of Architects' "Best Preserved and Living Heritage" award in 1987; today it serves as the municipality office.
Vakıflar Hamam
A 14th-century Turkish bath from the Beylik period, still in active use today. (The women's section has been closed since 2019.)
Muğla Museum
Turkey's first Natural History Museum. Original gladiator skeleton from Stratonikeia and fossils from 5–9 million years ago. Currently closed for earthquake safety work.
Karabağlar Plateau
Turkey's only "descended, not climbed" plateau. Eleven vineyard areas, historic cafes beneath 200-year-old plane trees, and traditional "yurtta" vineyard houses.
Asar Dağı (Masa Dağı)
Volcanic mountain crowned with ruins of the ancient city of Mobolla, rock tombs, and panoramic views of Muğla. The birthplace of Muğla's name.
Hacıkadı House
The residence of Hacıkadı Süleyman Efendi, who commissioned the Clock Tower; a tangible example of elite life in Muğla at the turn of the 19th century.
