Ortakent'in (eski Müsgebi) merkezinde yükselen üç katlı taş kule ev, Osmanlı döneminde hem gözetleme kulesi hem de yöre ileri gelenlerinin (ayan) konutu olarak inşa edilmiştir; metrelerce kalınlıkta duvarları, korsan ve denizci baskınlarına karşı savunma amacını yansıtır. Yapı, Bodrum yarımadasındaki sivil mimarinin en bilinen örneklerindendir ve Kültür Envanteri'nde 'Ayan Kulesi' temasıyla 17. yüzyıl Osmanlı yapısı olarak kayıtlıdır. 1994'te restore edilerek tek odalı butik bir otel (Ada Ev) olarak kullanıma açılmıştır. Kulenin '1601' inşa tarihi yaygın olarak aktarılsa da bu tarih kesin belgeyle teyit edilmemiş, yerel rivayet niteliğindedir.
