Located within Beçin Castle, this is one of the fortress's most significant structures. This medrese was commissioned in 1375 by Menteşe Bey Tacettin Ahmed Gazi and, after restoration work, now serves as the Stone Artifacts Museum.\n\nAhmed Gazi was known as the "Sultan of the Seas"—not merely a bey, but an important maritime administrator of his era. He conducted naval battles against the Knights of Rhodes and maintained control of Mediterranean trade along the Carian coast. This medrese stands as both his religious and political legacy.\n\nThe structure consists of ten teaching rooms. Following restoration, some rooms now recreate the educational atmosphere of the period, while others display stone artifacts from the Beylik and Ottoman eras. The museum houses 35 stone artifacts and 25 ethnographic pieces.\n\nAhmed Gazi's mausoleum is located in the domed section of the medrese. At the entrance to the mausoleum stand two lion figures holding flags; the flag carried by the lion on the right bears Ahmed Gazi's name inscribed upon it. This detail is testimony to the continued use of lion figures in Turkish-Islamic iconography of the period.\n\nThe courtyard displays Ottoman-era tombstones; ancient plane and olive trees provide shade, along with a cool historic fountain and pool. Listening to the fountain's sound beneath the plane trees is one of the most peaceful moments of a Beçin visit.
